  • MEMBERSHIP TYPES



  • 1. FOUNDING MEMBERSHIP
    All members who participated in setting up this association are regarded as the Founding members. These members shall retain their positions in the Executive Committee and their membership will be continuous.

    2. ORDINARY MEMBERSHIP

    All members of DAR-TANZANIA who fulfil the qualifications set out by this Constitution are admitted as ordinary members of the Association. Ordinary
    members shall be a member of the association if;

    a.Shall be granted to Members of the medical profession with recognized postgraduate degrees in cardiovascular system and heart rhythm disorder.

    b. Must be a member of the medical profession with a recognized
    postgraduate degree in surgery, pharmacology, pathology, radiology, physiology, paediatrics or allied specialities provided, their entire training
    work/research is related to the cardiovascular system.

    c.Non-medical members of related specialities with a recognized post-graduate degree and whose major work/research is related to the Cardiovascular.

    d. Technicians, nurses and other allied workers who deal with cardiovascular-related issues

    3. ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
    a. This will be nationals or international associations, institutions or companies organized under the laws of (Tanzania) actively concerned with issues relating
    cardiovascular diseases and related conditions.

    b. Each Associate Member shall be allowed to attend or be represented at DAR-TANZANIA General Meetings and National Councils, but will NOT be eligible to vote or be elected to any office,

    4. HONORARY MEMBERSHIP

    Eminent members of the medical profession or persons of high scientific attainment from any country may be elected honorary members (if so, approved by the Credential Committee). Members desirous of proposing such members must send details of the person to the Secretary. The total number of honorary memberships shall not exceed 15 at any time. An honorary member will not be entitled to hold office or vote at any meeting.

    6. CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP
    Any Institution approved by the Executive Committee may be elected as a corporate member of the Society according to the procedure laid down in the by-laws. The term ‘Institution’ may be deemed to include any public or private company or firm, a
    Society registered under any law, a duly

    a. A constituted trust, a statutory body, any association or special all doctors practising electrophysiology are eligible for ordinary membership regardless
    of their citizenship, nationality or creed.

    b. All doctors registered by the Tanganyika Medical Council to practice medicine with an interest in electrophysiology are eligible for associate membership
    regardless of their citizenship, nationality or creed

    (ee All Nurses working in the field of electrophysiology registered by the recognized institute to practice nursing are eligible for associate membership
    regardless of their citizenship, nationality or creed.

    d. Registered lawyer to oversee the conduct and advise the legal matters related to the society.

    e. Honorary members shall be individuals who in the opinion of the Executive Committee merit such and have been confirmed by the Annual General
    Assembly.

    f. Students studying at the faculty/school of any recognizable University or College are eligible for student membership.
